An Bang Beach and the Old Town

We decided on a few hours at the beach with the use of the shuttle bus which because of the odd times ended up being about 4 to 5 hrs.
An Bang beach has been used over the past year instead of the closer Cua Dai beach due to a cyclone that removed most of the sand about a year ago. All of the larger hotel shuttle buses drop off at their various affiliated beach bars and restaurants and everybody is crammed in together.
Not much to do here and the parasailing guys were making a fortune never stopping. Cost 600,000VND for 1 person and 800,000 for 2 each flight barely lasting 5 minutes. they would have made about 6 to 8 million an hour that's at least $400.
Luckily beer was about $1.50

The beach, in general, was fairly clean and the sea clear and warmish.
I did not appear to suffer from plastic particles like the beaches around Phuket etc
The water tends to get choppier as the day progresses.
Lunch was a short stroll inland away from the rather expensive fish restaurants right on the water.

After some experimentation and research back in the room with camera exposures etc we head back into town to take in the sights and dinner.
